A00095B Tongue Bay from the Rabbit Islands

Location, the far northern coastline of mainland Scotland. The group of islands in the picture, called the "Rabbit Islands" lie in Tongue Bay. These are low lying sandstone islands which are uninhabited but for a colony of rabbits. In the past these islands took the Gaelic meaning of "Islands of Strangers", said to have been periodically visited by Danes.
