Location, south of Oban town off the west coast of Scotland. The Island of Torsa (bottom left) is now uninhabited but Luing (top left) and Seil (middle right), have businesses in farming, fishing and tourism. Luig and Seil belong to a group known as the "Slate Islands" within the Inner Hebrides. From the 17th century slate was extracted mainly for roof tiles until the mid 20th century. Viewed looking west from above Seil Sound.
