Cara lies south of the Isle of Gigha and west of the Kintyre Peninsula on the west coast of Scotland. Its lowest part with a beach (left) runs up to its highest point in the top right of the picture where "Brownie's Chair" is located. A ruined Chapel "the Chapel of St Finla" lies close to the derelict building of "Cara House".
