A00634B Loch Crinan

Crinan Bay is situated on the west coast of Scotland in Argyll. The small village of Crinan sits on and around a low hill (bottom) on the southern shoreline of the loch. The small island adjacent to the north west is called "Eilean da Mheinn" and offers some weather protection to the local anchorage. On the opposite side of the loch stands "Duntrune Castle" (middle far right) which changed hands between Clans throughout its history but it was first raised by Clan MacDougall. Viewed looking north up the Scottish coastline crossing Loch Craignish to the Firth of Lorn (top left).
