A00685C Laggantullach Head to Mull of Galloway

This coastline faces west to the North Channel which separates Northern Ireland from Scotland. As part of the Galloway region it is known as the "Southern Rhins" extending south to the Mull of Galloway which can be seen at the top of the peninsula. Irish emigrants crossed the channel and settled in the area as farmers and fishermen establishing a presence and spreading their form of Gaelic. Viewed from above Laggantullach Head to the Isle of Man on the horizon (top right).
