A00720K Lunga to the Island of Mull

Location, off the west coast of Scotland and southwest of Oban by 10 miles on the Firth of Lorn. The island of "Lunga" in the middle of the picture lies north of Scarba island (bottom left) and one mile west of Luing. The island is one of the "Slate Islands" and appears to be bleak but in the late 1700's it did support nearly 30 inhabitants which has dwindled away over the years to now having no permanent residents. It is visited to maintain sea food operations along its eastern shores. Viewed from above Scarba looking north towards the Island of Mull which lies along the top of the picture.
