A00096BX2 An Stac to Ben Hope

aerial pictures of Scotland north coast coastline sea cliffs
This coastline is located in the far north of mainland Scotland. It lies about 30 miles west of the Pentland Firth between Loch Eriboll and Tongue Bay. Dramatic sea cliffs, natural sea stacks, caves and arches form much of its character. An Stac is a projecting lump of rock attached to the cliffs at the bottom of the picture. A boggy landscape above the cliff line leads to Ben Hope in the top right of the picture. Ben Hope is the most northerly mountain of the Drumalban system and most northerly Munro standing 3041ft. Viewed looking south.
