This stunning coast lies along the far northern coastline of the Scottish mainland. The nearest major settlement is Thurso about 30 miles east of this location. This photograph was taken from above Ardmore Point which is about one mile north of Armadale village. In the top right of the picture is the sandy beach of Armadale Bay with gentle hilly slopes. Typical of this coast, towering sea cliffs, isolated bays, caves and sea stacks are part of its natural character. The scenery on a good day is simply stunning.
