A00402C Bonawe Quarries on Loch Etive

Bonawe Quarries are situated on the north banks of Loch Etive. It takes its name from the tinny village of Bonawe to the left of the picture by less than half a mile. These are modern quarries and not associated to the famous iron works of "Bonawe Furnace" located directly opposite on the south side of Loch Etive in 1753. Viewed looking northeast up the sea loch towards Glen Noe (top right).
