A00467D Lower Largo coastal village

Lower Largo is situated on the north bank of the Firth of Forth on the east coast of Scotland. Starting from north of the village the Hatton Burn converges with Keil Burn to flow into the Firth of Forth at the ancient villages historic rivermouth harbour. The pier was built in the early 1800's to protect the local fishing boats and also used later by a ferry service connecting the south from nearby Leith. The railway viaduct was built in the mid 1800's and with it came a supply of Victorian visitors and a new era in tourism was born.
