A00652E Loch na Mile to Lowlandsmans Bay Jura

This curving sandy bay of Loch na Mile to Lowlandsmans Bay at the top of the picture are situated down the south eastern coastline of Jura. This area has been inhabited since prehistoric times with remnants of the past scattered around the landscape in the form of hut circles, standing stones and coastal forts. Jura fell under Norse control until 1266 then ownership changed hands several times by feuding Clans.
