Location, the sea loch of Loch Etive on the west coast of Scotland. Loch Etive is situated a few miles north of Oban on the road to Connel village. In the picture the loch is much longer, this is the west to east length before it turns northeast (middle left) into a mountainous area for about 8 miles then terminating at Glen Etive. In the 1880's cruises sailed from Oban for the experience of loch side views and stopped at Glen Etive for those wanting to view Glen Coe further on by carriage.
