aerial pictures of Scotland west coast sea lochs of Loch Sween
Loch Sween is a sea loch projecting into the "Sound of Jura" (top) on the west coast of Scotland. It has several narrow inlets on both sides of the Loch with plenty sandy beaches. At the end of the peninsula stands Keills Chapel possibly dating back to the 8th century when missionaries spread throughout Scotland. Viewed from above Loch Sween looking southwest across the Sound of Jura to the Island of Jura at the top of the picture.
