A00543C Kincraig Hill and Macduffs Cave

aerial pictures of Scotland east coast coastline by Earlsferry along the east neuk
Location, on the north bank of the Firth of Forth and east of Largo Bay on the east coast of Scotland. To the west of Earlesferry village along the East Neuk of Fife lies a sandy beach, Kincraig Hill and Macduffs Cave. Legend has it that Macduff was a nobleman fleeing from Macbeth and took hiding in a cave assisted by the local fishermen, the caves entrance lying half way along the cliff face within the picture. The existence of Macduff is uncertain but not the case of Macbeth who was a King of Alba and on his death in battle near Aberdeen was buried on Iona. The beach, cave and hill top are accessible by using local paths.
