A00689C Seaton Cliffs - East and north coastlines
Location, Seaton sea cliffs northeast of Arbroath on the east coast of Scotland. This picture was taken 2 miles northeast of Arbroath capturing the Seaton cliff coastline. The scenery is impressive with shingle beaches, cliff lines having deep cut gullies, caves, rocky outcrops and sea stacks, their shaping attributed to the sea erosion on soft sandstone. The area is extremely fertile and therefore intensively farmed as can be seen in the landscape of the picture. Many views can be enjoyed using the coastal path from Auchmithie village (top right in the picture) which weaves its way southwest along the cliffs to the Town of Arbroath.
Viewed looking north.
