Lochranza is a small settlement located on Loch Ranza on the northern coastline of Arran. The remains of a castle lies within Loch Ranza and is said to have hosted King Robert the Bruce on his return for Irish support during the "Wars of Scottish Independence". Viewed looking southwest to the Kilbrannan Sound in the right of the picture.
