Location, Torrisdale Bay on a winters day in the far northern coastline of mainland Scotland. The nearest major settlement is Thurso just under 30 miles east of the bay. At the bottom of the frame this view captures on a calm day the Atlantic waves at Torrisdale Bay and the northern coastline to Cape Wrath which is at the very top of the picture. During the summer months there is an abundance of wild life species among rare plant life which makes this area a designated place of special scientific interest. The remoteness of this location does not put people off, for those who explore this far north their stunned by the beauty of the landscape and beaches.
