A00709H Lunan Bay

Lunan Bay lies south of Montrose by about 4 miles on the east coast of Scotland. Photographed on a summers afternoon this picture of Lunan Bay was taken from the south and captures the expanse of the 2 mile beach up to the northern sea cliffs at Boddin Point, top right of the frame. The long sandy beach is flanked by high sand dunes to the west and ends at the northern cliffs where there are natural caves and huge rounded boulder fragments. Lunan water crosses the beach from the middle left of the picture spreading over the sands before entering the North Sea.
