A00361A Bay of the Tongue Island of Hoy Orkney

This picture captures the northwest coastline of the Island of Hoy, the second largest island in the Orkney archipelago north of mainland Scotland. "Bay of the Tongue" lies along the middle of the picture before the land rises in the shape of dramatic cliff formations in the top right of the frame. Compared to the south and east of the island where most of the population live the island climbs the further west you travel into a rugged and boggy terrain that ends in sheer drops which overlook the North Atlantic Ocean.
