A00528B Loch Fyne

Loch Fyne is a 40 mile long sea loch cutting north from the Firth of Clyde on the west coast of Scotland. This is the head of Loch Fyne in the north where it is the most mountainous region. Located at the top of the picture is Glen Fyne and to the middle right is Glen Kinglas. From Glen Kinglas an Old military road ran from the Glen around the top of the loch and down the shores of Loch Fyne on the left side of the picture to Inverary village. The road was constructed in the mid 18th century to suppress the local Scottish population from rebellion. Viewed looking northeast from east of Inverary village.
