Located on the north eastern shores of the Firth of Clyde, Ardmore Point is at the bottom left of the picture with the Town of Helensburgh in the upper right of the frame. Rosneath Peninsula sits top left of the picture between the Gare Loch (right) and Loch Long (top). Steamers to and from Helensburgh and Craigendoran piers used to cross this stretch of water from Gourock and Greenock in years gone by.
