A00588C Babbet Ness to Fife Ness

This view captures the east Fife coastline from Babbet Ness in the lower left of the picture to Fife Ness at the top of the frame. Evidence that these lands and coastline have been inhabited from ancient times are scattered in the landscape. In a later period Vikings landed on these shores to launch raiding parties on the local settlements. In these more peaceful times the beaches and rocky texture of the coast can be reached, without attack, from various locations such as Kingsbarns or use the coastal path which snakes around the coast. Viewed looking southeast from above Babbet Ness to Fife Ness and the Isle of May in the top right of the picture.
