A00720FX2 Gulf of Corryvreckan from Scarba to Jura

Bottom right is the Island of Scarba and opposite is the north end of the Island of Jura (top left). Between is the third largest whirlpool in the world, the "Gulf of Corryvreckan". As the tide is high the waters may look fairly benign however, in full swing with the tides the channel becomes violent and potentially dangerous and should not be challenged without local knowledge.
